Real estate site Zillow has once again released its annual list of the best US cities for trick-or-treating. Using data on walkability, population density, crime, and home value, Zillow ranks the top 20 cities for candy gathering, along with the best neighborhoods for little ghouls in each city. (Here in LA, that would be Westwood, Brentwood, Pacific Palisades, Bel Air, and Venice.)

Readers on LA Curbed have chimed in on WalkScore's top neighborhoods for Trick-O-Treating... and most of them have been very critical. Four out of the five cities listed have hilly neighborhoods with poor sidewalk infrastructure. People apparently seem really fond of Hancock Park, Windsor Square, the beach cities, certain neighborhoods in Glendale and Pasadena... I remember the first year we lived in our house in Valley Glen... so many trick-o-treaters! It was so much fun.
ReplyDeleteThe new trend in our area is just to shut down streets entirely so that kids can trick or treat safely. Works for me!
